NEW.EQD

EarthQuaker Devices announced two new pedals this week just in time to show off at NAMM. This innovative company does not have it in them to disappoint generating a buzz of excitement with each new release. There has been no official release date for the newest pedals but if you're headed to Anaheim for NAMM you can try these new pedals first hand at booth 2493 Hall D.

Disaster Transport SR

The Disaster Transport Sr is the much anticipated and updated reissue of the limited run Ghost Disaster pedal from 2010. Unlike the first version, which combined our Ghost Echo and Disaster Transport Jr., the Disaster Transport Sr was designed from the ground up to create an intense wash of  lo-fi swirling tape styled echo. It features one darker 600ms modulated delay and one slightly brighter 300ms delay with reverb. Both delays can be run separately, in parallel or series (via the bleed control). When used in series/parallel, the SR will create awesome multi-head style rhythmic delays. In addition to being used as a straight delay, straight reverb, rhythmic delay, modulated delay and old school tape-style echo, it can also be used to create a wide variety of wacky sounds ranging from warped records, clanging flange, smooth chorus, echoed out squalls and various other-worldly effects that are unlike anything else. The switching was designed so each delay can be used individually or in tandem with both true bypass or trails. If you are a fan of old school tape delay and wild lo-fi sounds, you will get hours of enjoyment every time you plug into the Disaster Transport Sr.

Features:
• Delay A- 600ms delay with modulation with controls for Time, Repeats, Rate, Depth, Mix and Bleed

• Delay B- Reverb into 300ms delay with controls for Time, Repeats, Reverb Blend and Mix

• Individual switching for Delay A and B inputs and a master bypass switch, making trails or true bypass possible with no extra effort.

• Expression control for delay A repeats (create self oscillating squalls with delay A while still playing through delay B for an ultimate wash of echoed out noise!)

• Expression control for bleeding delay A out put into delay B (post reverb) to create rhythmic delays on the fly.

• Measures 5 5/8" x 4 5/8", powered by any 300ma 9v adapter for musical instruments.

• 100% Hand made one at a time in Akron, OH

$345.00

The Warden Optical Compressor
The Warden is an optical compressor with a feature set usually reserved for studio grade units. Built with high grade components and internally powered by 18v, The Warden has loads of gain and sustain on tap and will allow everything from a heavy squash with fast attack and release to a wide open, “barely there” subtle sustain by backing off the ratio. The ratio controls how much the LED affects the LDR (basically, compression intensity), all the way up is full signal compression and more of the unaffected signal will come through as you back it down. It’s a cool and more useful control than the commonly found clean blend. The tone control is actually treble boost/cut which allows the tone coloration to go from warm to bright and lively and everything in between.  Optical compression has a reputation for having more character than a VCA or FET based compression and The Warden is no exception.  It is unlike any other guitar compressor on the market today!

Features:
• Optical compression with complete control over Tone, Attack, Release, Level, Sustain/Compression, and Ratio.

• Powered by a standard 9v adapter and internally boosted up to 18v for more precision, dynamics, and headroom.

• Handmade with high quality metal film resistors, capacitors and an audiophile grade OPA2134 opamp.

• Measures 4 5/8″ x 2 1/2

EQD.Dirt.Transmitter

$145.00

Dirt Transmitter Fuzzdriver
The Dirt Transmitter is dual transistor crumbling fuzz tone. The bias control affects the voltage to the transistors which can create super cool gated velcro fuzz when turned counter clockwise or bring it back to life by turing it clockwise. It's "properly biased" around 2'OClock on the dial. Adjusting the tone with the bias is a must to achieve a wide range of sounds. The fuzz control can produce tones from overdrive like break up to all out thick ripping fuzz tones while never getting flabby. Excessive amounts of volume and virtually no extraneous noise. Works great with both single coils and humbuckers, clean up with the guitar volume is excellent .

The newest from EarthQuaker Devices is here!
The Talons is an extremely versatile overdrive with options of a clean OD all the way to heavy metal and everything in between. In EarthQuaker style this all handmade machine will not break the bank, coming in at just $195.

From EQD: "The Talons Overdrive is a project we have been working on for a long time at EQD. After nearly a year of variations and fine tuning we finally nailed the versatility we were after! It very well may be the best and most useful go-to overdrive we have ever heard! Embracing best-of-breed functionalities, it features a full active tone stack, a presence control for sculpting the top end and more gain than one should ever need from an overdrive in a very compact format. Unlike all our other overdrives, the Talons was not designed to emulate any specific sound or era. It can be glassy and open, scooped and chunky, gritty and wild, light and airy, drunk and unhinged... Maximize your visionary functionalities with the Talons! Artwork by the legendary Dan Grzeca!"

The Talons is an ultra flexible dirt machine that can go from clean to crunch and everything in between with a swift turn of the gain control. Add to that a powerful active 3 band equalization sector and some top end contour via the presence control and you’ve got one versatile little buddy at your disposal. Unlike all our other overdrives, the Talons was not designed to emulate any specific sound or era. It can be glassy and open, scooped and chunky, gritty and wild, light and airy, drunk and unhinged… it will not disappoint you.

EQD.Monarch

We get a lot of questions on this more than fantastic overdrive by EarthQuaker Devices and as OD's go it's on of the best not to mention one of our personal favorites.

Monarch Overdrive
The Monarch Overdrive is an all discrete, FET based dirt machine. It’s designed around the input stage of a vintage amp produced by a company that bears the same name as the color of the monarch (hint...). It’s been configured to produce higher gains that sound very natural and free of compression. The treble and bass controls function as frequency boosters, not the traditional roll off filters in most OD’s. They are located in the preamp section and have a large impact on the over all tone, nature and distortion characteristics of the pedal as well as your amp. It gives big bottom end with a snappy, bright top at all gain ranges with some careful tuning of the tone controls. If you are looking for an overdrive for big fat chords with excellent low end retention, this is it! And, yes, it's true bypass.

Handmade with sweet loving care in Akron Ohio.

EQD.Tone.Job

$145.00 U.S.
The newest creation from EarthQuaker Devices is here!

Tone Job
Welcome to the Tone Job, a complete tone enhancement tool designed around a stereo preamp to cover as much frequency range as possible. What does this mean for you, the user? It means it can handle a wide variety of frequencies from electrical guitars, bass guitar, synthesizer machines and just about anything else you can plug in. The treble, bass and middle controls can cut or boost up to 20db. In addition to that, the level control will boost the signal (post EQ) up to 5 times the input depending on where the dial is set. It's very plug and play and easy to dial in on all applications.

Controls

Level: Post EQ volume control. Can boost the signal up to 5x the input. Unity is around 10 O’ Clock.

Treble: Noon is flat, boost is clockwise from noon, cut is counter clockwise from noon.

EQD.Speaker.Cranker

SPEAKER CRANKER IS NOT A BOOSTER, IT'S AN OVERDRIVE.
The Speaker Cranker is an all discrete dirt enhancement device designed to give your amp some grit and a slight boost without drastically changing the character or tone of your set up. It’s perfect for those that don’t like to fiddle with pesky controls yet want to add a little tube-like breakup or enhance an already over driven amp (or pedal) to give it some extra crunch without over loading the preamp. The single “More” control allows you choose the amount of break up you desire. Just like you would with a tube amp, back it off to thin out the sound and clean it up or crank it up for a fuller sound with a bit of compression.

Power
9v Battery or any standard 9 volt DC power supply with a negative center 2.1mm barrel.

EQD.Dispatch.Master

As one of our top selling pedals, The Dispatch Master, from EarthQuaker Devices gives you exactly what you want in reverb and delay. It's the smaller and more modern answer to EQD's well loved, limited run Ghost Disaster from 2010! The Dispatch Master is a digital delay and reverb unit with an all analog, direct signal path and true bypass switching. It is capable of producing nearly 2 seconds of delay time with near-infinite repeats and a cavernous reverb. Both effects can be run separately or in unison. Even though it is a DSP based effect, the sound is warm and full. No sterile lifeless tones here! The delay signal is clear and strong with no after effects or signal degradation and the repeats decay into a nice ambient swell with no oscillation. The reverb is MASSIVE and is sure to please those who love EQD's Ghost Echo, but want more depth and less artifacts. It's the perfect "Black Hole Ambience Generator" and has been featured in Premier Guitar Magazine, receiving the Premier Gear award.

The options on The Dispatch Master seem to be endless. To use as a reverb only, turn the time control all the way down, adjust the reverb and mix controls to taste. In this mode, the repeats control can be used to enhance the thickness, decay, depth and overall nature of the reverb. With the reverb control at it’s maximum setting, the repeats control will gradually overload the effect at higher settings. To use as a delay only, turn the reverb control all the way down and adjust the time, repeats and mix controls to taste. To use both effects in unison, adjust all controls to taste. It's true bypass and hand made one at a time in landlocked, Akron, Ohio. Try it out at Namm (booth 2596) along with the rest of the EQD line, including new releases! A masterpiece!
